BIOGRAPHY

TRENCHER are a Casio-grindcore (TM) trio from London. They create brutally fast and deceptively complex songs, all bashed out on bass, drums and a toy keyboard. It's heavy, fun and totally absurd!

Their penchant for touring has seen them grow into a stunningly accomplished live act, with Pox's chainsaw bass and savage vocals crashing over the top of Lock's jaw-dropping drumming and Mr. M. Shit's VL-Tone athletics. It's also won them a deranged cult following in Europe, bolstered by the band's enthusiastic endorsement of misshapen formats - 5 inch vinyl, 2 inch CD, video, cassette, etc.

RELEASES

'SPLIT W / TRENCHER'

Attack Of The Sxe Attackers

UTR002 | 10" | 22 tracks, 9 mins | 3 Oct 2005 | Sold out

On this split 10" with their sick soul-mates Esquilax, Trencher supply some of their most realised work to date - a bludgeoning feast of pummelling abstract metal punctuated by yells, hollers and the occasional keyboard assault. All tracks are previously unreleased and of unparalleled fidelity.

The Trencher side is the band's John Peel session from April 2004 - in fact, the last session Peel ever broadcast - and features 6 brand new songs, along with a cover of The Murder of Rosa Luxemburg's "I Lost My Hair in a Skiing Accident".

The 10" is a joint release by no less than six labels - Crucificados Pelo Sistema, Super Fi, Midmarch, Monotreme, Transgressive and our good selves. It features silver 'n' black splatter vinyl, with a matching handscreened sleeve.
