BIOGRAPHY

ESQUILAX were a schizoid terror pop group from Birmingham - a duo creating a frenzy of digital noise, splintered ultra-rapid glitch beats, furious guitar thrashing and barked vocals.

Despite playing their last show in summer 2007, the band remain one of the most influential amongst the UK underground - it's difficult to imagine the existence of Gay Against You or Cutting Pink With Knives without recalling Esquilax's mould-breaking legacy.

The inventiveness which comprised the band's live show - think everything from full speed grindcore to long droning pieces, full of distortion and malice - is now coursing through the veins of numerous new projects, including No Heaven Waiting, Doom Patrol and Grave Paintings, to name but a few.
